Investment in quality assurance, traceability and crop management systems has gone hand in hand with development of the farm infrastructure and investment in efficient machinery, which enables us to produce crops more competitively. The result is more consistent, higher quality crops.

- Built the first 1,500t refrigerated potato box store at Tuddenham.
- Constructed our first reservoir with a capacity of 136,000 m3.
- Purchased 2 crop stores at Brandon and installed an onion grader in the Fens.

- Built a 2,200t refrigerated onion store and installed a parsnip washer and grader.
- Purchased an additional 350 acres of land, upgraded our Fen potato stores, upgraded the parsnip washer/grader and built a new 2,200t refrigerated potato store at Brandon.

- Built a 386,000 m3 reservoir, a new 2,200t refrigerated potato store at Tuddenham, upgraded buildings to increase onion storage capacity by 2,000t and introduced computerised field recording systems.
- Built a new onion grading and packing shed, built a new dairy complex and increased the herd size to 300, purchased our first linear irrigation system, installed a hydrocooling packing and washing system for parsnips, and built a 75,000 m3 reservoir.

- Converted 3,750t of bulk storage to box storage, installed a dedicated parsnip wash line, purchased 240 acres of land and converted 3,400t of potato storage to onion storage.

- New production and storage construction for 2,400t of potatoes and 2,200t of onions, a new 91,000m3 reservoir was built. A rotary parlour and new cubicle housing was built to expand milk production in Pembrokeshire. Irrigation main extended to 240 acres. High-speed onion store loading system was implemented.
- Announcement made about major investment in vegetable packing and processing.

- Built vegetable processing factory. Constructed reservoir to store cleaned effluent water from the factory for re-use on irrigated crops. Team strengthened with key appointments from the food processing trade

- In recognition of the continued development of the business, the Company was awarded the Hallmark Vegetable Grower of the Year Award, and for the development of Frederick Hiam Foods Christopher Wilson was awarded the NFU President's Award of Entrepreneur of the Year both for the East Anglian region and Nationally.
